Rent A Chair

Do You Need To Be Registered With A HRB To Rent A Chair?

That question got your attention right? The 6 millions dollar question!

How much time do hairdressers waste talking about this one? I know, because I’ve been one of them for years, all the while trying to find the value in being registered.

Well, this may shed a little light on the topic and put your mind at ease at the same time, because believe it or not, the Hairdressing Registration Board (and likeminded associations) do provide a service.

But before I get into the nuts and bolts of this highly negated topic, I’m going to simply answer the question, then you choose if you want to read on for the rest of the juice.

If you are in a state that requires you be registered then the answer is YES, you will need to be registered to operate a Micro Salon (Rent A Chair) or Solo Salon (The individual Stylist Renting.) That is of course providing you’re an actually hairdresser. If you simply own the salon and have never been a qualified hairdresser then the answer is NO, you don’t need to be registered. Now lets get into the juice!
